Writing my truth opened the wounds of a scarred past. Trauma and PTSD are afflictions to which I am indebted with gratitude, for these are evidences that both the spoken word and the written word matter. Every truth, every emotion, constitute a part of who we are in the world. We are stronger than we know, not for what we’ve escaped, but for what we’ve experienced.
My work has been published in Bright Bones, Contemporary Montana Writing, Open Country Press, 2018.
