Tom Dewlies and Snoods?

Photo Theme: Street

These wild turkeys crossed my path on Sunday, along with eight more in the rafter. ( I had to look up the term for a group of turkeys, because really, who knows this stuff?) Toms exhibit bright red dewlaps, snoods, and caruncles. Seriously, am I on my way to Dr. Seussville? Who thinks of these words?

Ha – well that’s a bunch of new words for me, anyway! Not that we get turkey’s out here, but I’m prepared now in case I ever do run into a rafter of them! ;o)
