Camping for one night:
- One small backpack/person +
- Two tents, four sleeping bags, four sleeping pads +
- Two coolers & one bag of food +
- One cookstove, two pots, one percolator +
- One dog =
One very full car!
But we didn’t have a pan in which to cook bacon! Camping requires streamlined precision for provisions and pans have handles, so next time I will bring a pie tin for the bacon.
A carload of stuff and we still don’t have what we need.
Warning: Male grizzly bear seen on premise today.
“No problem. The mama bears cause concern, but really it’s the mosquitoes that are killing us.”
The moral of this story: We humans think we’re worthy and tough. We’re not.
